I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Gettysburg College. I hold a Ph.D. in the History of Consciousness and Feminist Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
My Research and Teaching
My research and teaching explore how gender and queer sexuality inform notions of nation, diaspora, and transnational belonging in a contemporary context of globalization. My writing has been published in Women and Performance: A Journal of Feminist Theory, the Review of Women's Studies, and the International Feminist Journal of Politics. My book, The Global Filipina Body: Gendered and Sexual Nationalisms in the Filipina/o Diaspora, is under advance contract with the University of Illinois Press.
